THE MEET SERIES

The Meet is the current main project.  An ongoing series where a scene depicts a meeting between 2 people.  Moments of everyday life that can have an impact on us, even when fleeting.

Each meeting may be about to happen, have already happened, be intended, unintended, felicitous, romantic, vexatious, sad, stalking or fleeting moments where the people don’t know each other but just a glance is exchanged. Ambiguity is deliberate for the viewer to add their own story to these almost cinematic scenes.

Created in charcoal on stretched linen, 55cm x 38cm x 2cm. 

Early works from this series were entered in the VAA Professional Artist Award 2023, achieving Finalist status and one of only 5 to receive the “Highly Commended Exhibitor” award.
