Over the last few years I’ve been trying out various online galleries.
For a while I’ve wanted to reduce it down to one, possibly two, but was not sure which. As it would happen, some events have helped to make that decision.
It takes a lot of time to upload photos and fill in each of the different styles of information entries of the different galleries. If I can focus only on one it will take me less time and also be more complete.
The event was that one gallery closed to be absorbed by a bigger online gallery. Initially, that was exciting as the bigger one had a good name. However, it seems it has changed its practices and I was not alone in being unhappy about the exorbitant fees. Others just haven’t performed well enough for me.
I apologise to anyone who has been following me at any of those online galleries and was wondering what happened to me. The online galleries consider the people purchasing as their clients and withhold the email address, so I was unable to inform any of my followers/collectors of the changes.
But, I’m so pleased that if you’re reading this it means you’ve found me again. Keep yourself directly informed of what I’m up to by joining my Collector’s Club. It’s free and you can easily join using the form in the footer below.
I have chosen Artfinder for my main online gallery. There are things they do that I’m not keen on – such as discounts that the artist doesn’t know about but needs to pay for – but at least they are not excessive and, so far, it’s the one I’m most happy with. The artist also sets the delivery amount with them and can contact the purchaser prior to expedition. This makes for better communication and a delivery charge in line with actual costs – good for both the artist and the collector. My full inventory is not yet available at Artfinder, but I am adding to it frequently. The portfolio there includes some of the bigger artworks and many smaller and affordable drawings and paintings.
Thank you for your continued support. Join my Collectors’ Club below and you will be informed if I change again and advised of any in-person exhibitions and much more.
—- Janueary 2026 UPDATE — Due to various changes at Artfinder and as I am currently too busy to spend the time necessary to make continuing with Artfnder worthwhile, I have reopened my gallery with Artmajeur . I will also need to spend time reorganizing and updating my work there too, but as there is no monthly charge (and lower commissions) there, I can do this at my leisure. Thank you for staying with me in the meantime.
